Denver Eagles Statement of Faith
We believe man was created in God's image, but because of the Fall into sin, he became spiritually dead and in need of salvation from the penalty and power of sin. We believe in the incarnation and virgin birth of our Lord Jesus Christ as perfectly divine and perfectly human, and in His substitutionary death for our redemption by the shedding of His blood on the cross. We believe that the gift of eternal life is available to all men, that those who receive Christ by faith are regenerated by the Holy Spirit and thereby become the children of God. We believe the Holy Spirit is co-equal with God the Father and God the Son, and that He indwells, seals and fills us by faith with His power for the work of His service and God's glory. We believe that only the Bible is the infallible, inerrant Word of God, completely revealing the triune Godhead: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We believe in the bodily resurrection of Christ, His return and
resurrection of His people. *We are establishing this position to avoid
conflict which could arise within a support group with differing
motivations/philosophical approaches to sports/education.
Sunday Game Policy
We do not schedule any Eagles Intramural games on Sundays and try to keep away from Sunday games in the leagues we may enter. There may be Sunday games when we are participating in special tournaments. We will participate if the team in question qualifies for a tournament spot but if a family does not want to participate in any type of a Sunday game, we ask that they please notify the Eagles' Coach as soon as possible. This allows the Coach to plan for the games in the tournament. We will respect the decision of each family/athlete.
Registration and Finances
A. Fees for Denver Eagles will vary depending on the age level, the length of the sport, the facility cost, and uniform cost.
B. Registration will be held at least one month before each sport is to begin. This will help us to organize teams, and acquire uniforms and equipment in a reasonable manner.
Details of each season will be available on the web-site and/or sent via e-mail prior to each sport.
Athletes who register after the registration cut-off date will be accepted on a space available basis.
Family Discount Policy
1. First Child -- Full Price
2. Second Child -- Full Price
3. Third Child -- $20.00 off set fee
4. Fourth and following -- $20.00 off set fee
D. Payment of Fees
1. All Registrations must be accompanied with at least 1/3 of the total fee due and a payment plan must be established at this time. There is a nonrefundable fee of $75.00 for cancellation of participation in any sport after the registration date.
2. All Registration Forms and fees are to be MAILED to the Denver Eagles Post Office box. Do not give fees to any coach or board member.
3. No money will be refunded after the first week of practice.
(a.) Requests for refunds must be in written form, given to the Board of Directors for consideration.
(b.) Special considerations will be given by the Board to anyone writing a letter of explanation while asking for a refund after the second week of practice.
(c.) If a refund is requested for medical reasons, we ask that the parents include a note from their doctor along with their written request for a refund.
F. Eligibility
1. Registration form and medical release must be filled out before the first practice.
2. Copy of birth certificate -- Baseball only, before first week of practices.
3. Physical exam -- Jr. High, JV & Varsity athletes, before first game.
4. Parent/Player Contract signed -- All athletes and their parents, by first week.
5. Academic eligibility form--All athletes by the first week. (Primarily for JV-Varsity to stay eligible during the season)
